We are pleased to announce that the Chesterfield Historical Society has been awarded a new Hampshire Land and Community Heritage Investment Program (LCHIP) grant of $10,000 to be used for developing a preservaation planning study for the Stone House Tavern.  This is a matching grant.  For more information on this and updates of our work, see Stone House Tavern Project

Incorporated in 1975, our mission is to stimulate interest in and document the history of the Town of Chesterfield.  This is done through collections and preservation of items with historical interest and significance and by sharing them through programs, workshops and publications.
