CHS Celebrates $15,000 Grant Award

CHS is happy to announce it has received a $15,000 grant from The New Hampshire Charitable Foundation (NHCF) on the advise of the Putnam Foundation.  The purpose of this award is to help meet the matching funds required by the LCHIP grant.  The CHS Board and Chesterfield Community thank the Putnam Foundation for their generosity and help in advancing the development of the Stone House Tavern Museum.  Information on the Putnum Foundation can be found at https://fconline.foundationcenter.org and the NHCF www.nhcf.org.    

CHS Celebrates $95,000 LCHIP Grant

 

In December 2019, the NH Land and Community Heritage Investment Program (LCHIP) presented $95,000 matching grant to CHS to help support the developement of the Stone House Tavern Museum.  More details can be found in the Stone House Tavern Project section.

Incorporated in 1975, our mission is to stimulate interest in and document the history of the Town of Chesterfield.  This is done through collections and preservation of items with historical interest and significance and by sharing them through programs, workshops and publications.

Now that we have purchasd this iconic building, our Capital Campaign turns to the Sustainablity Phase.   Eventually CHS hopes to turn the building into a museum that will feature Chesterfield's contribution to the region and the nation.  Learn more about how you can help with this project.
