Early Chesterfield Maps

CHS is happy to announce that it has been awarded a Moose Plate Grant for the preservation and digitization of The 1828 Coolidge Survey Map that plans River Road between West Chesterfield and Westmoreland. It contains residential locations, physical features, and is partly in watercolor. The work is being done by Works on Paper of Chester, VT, Backstage Library Works (microfilm) of Provo UT and Bethlehem, PA, and Northlight Digital of White River Junction VT (digitization), The project will be completed by the end of 2026.
